HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL TEA
FAIR 2010 |
|
|
|
|
(3rd
International Exhibition & Conference
For The Food and Beverage Processing
Industry)
Date: 12 - 14 August 2010
Venue: Hong Kong Convention
and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong, China
The perfect brew
• Over 250 exhibitors coming from 17
countries and regions participated in the
first Hong Kong International Tea Fair.
• More than 9,500 trade buyers from 69
countries and regions, about 80,000 public
visitors attended the Fair.
• 96% of buyers were satisfied with the
fair.
Hong Kong has no tea production of its own,
and thus is impartial in promoting tea. The
Hong Kong International Tea Fair combines
quality buyers, professional organisations,
exciting peripheral activities and good
timing to bring you the perfect event to
grow your business.
The fair is expressly designed to promote
and facilitate global trade but it also
serves to enlarge tea culture and encourage
tea drinking.
Inaugural fair success
With co-organiser, Chinese Tea Culture
International Exchange Association, Hong
Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
launched the first tea fair in 2009, with
over 250 exhibitors coming from 17 countries
& regions, including the great tea-producing
centres of the world such as the Chinese
mainland, India, Sri Lanka and Taiwan.
An International Tea Party
Co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade
Development Council (HKTDC) and the Chinese
Tea Culture International Exchange
Association, the event is a genuine
international tea party of exhibitors, with
a focus on tea-producing and tea-trading
regions such as the Chinese mainland, India,
Japan, Sri Lanka and more.
•About 85% of buyers interviewed said that
they have started some negotiation or placed
some orders during the fair.
•More than 90% said that they would like to
attend the fair again next year.
Covering the industry
The fair provides opportunities for
exhibitors in the following product
categories:
• Tea
• Processed tea and tea products
• Tea packaging, processing equipment and
testing services
• Tea ware
• Tea technology
• Tea organisations
• Tea services and publications
• Friends of Tea (confectionery, bakery
products, etc.)
Huge public interest
Further promoting the popularity of tea is
the opening of the fair to the public on its
final day in 2009. Hong Kong is the
tea-drinking capital of Asia, with the
highest per capita consumption in the region
so the public has a genuine interest in the
exhibits. In 2009, about 80,000 public
visitors tasted tea and gave valuable
feedback to the exhibiting companies, who
also benefited from high retail sales. More
opportunities The fair will again coincide
with the HKTDC Food Expo and International
Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization
of Chinese Medicine & Health Products in
2010, bringing in more potential buyers.

ENOVITIS IN CAMPO
|
|
|
|
|
(8th International Vine and Olive Growing Techniques Exhibition)
Date:
17 - 18 June 2010
Venue: Roncade
(Treviso), Milan, Italy
Unique of its kind, the exhibition
ENOVITIS IN CAMPO is back again at the
farm Ca’ Tron, at Roncade (Treviso). As
an ideal continuation of the Milan trade
show Enovitis, - International Vine and
Olive Growing Techniques Exhibition -
whose last edition successfully took
place last November in the fairground of
Fiera Milano, “ENOVITIS IN CAMPO” offers
the opportunity to see hundreds of
state-of-the-art vine-growing machines
and equipment at work in a real
vineyard. Therefore, it is possible to
personally compare performances and
technical results and weigh the
different proposals available in the
Italian and international markets, with
the perspective of a sound
competitiveness.
ENOVITIS IN CAMPO, the two-day show
dedicated to the trial of innovative
machines and equipment in the vineyard.
Every two years, this event offers a
complete product overview: from the
vineyard plantation to the treatments,
from the equipment for ground and
vineyard work (farm tractors, grubbers,
tillers, rotary cultivators, pruning
machines, leaf removers, headers, etc.)
to the different models of
grape-harvesters, suitable for any type
of vine rows. In addition, there are
even vineyard products and materials
(stakes, wires, fertilizers,
phytosanitary products, etc.)
The location
hosting the seventh edition of this
exhibition is really attuned to the
philosophy of ENOVITIS IN CAMPO. With a
total surface of around 1,100 hectares
in one single estate, Ca’ Tron makes up
the biggest farm in a single unit in the
region of Triveneto. As intended by the
Fondazione Cassamarca, – which acquired
it in the year 2000 – the farm is
becoming an important research and
development centre in the primary
sector.
The presence at Ca’ Tron of a 30-hectare
experimental vineyard will be
particularly interesting for the
visitors of the exhibition. This
vineyard is technically “on the cutting
edge” and was created to obtain a
high-quality production, fully
respectful of the environment and in a
pleasant context, also from an aesthetic
point of view. Besides production
purposes, the plantation has as its main
aim to put a structure at the disposal
of institutions and organizations
operating in the wine-growing and
producing sector: In this structure, the
5-6 most innovative cultivation forms
are used and compared, by which
high-quality grapes can be obtained with
different levels of mechanization in the
various growing operations (pruning,
harvesting, heading, pesticide defence
and ground management).
While waiting for the June appointment,
the event organization is moving at full
rate: a great interest is shown by the
most important Italian and foreign
manufacturers of vineyard machines and
equipment, who announced their
participation in advance, with a wide
range of products.
